Whether you’re a pole dancing diva or you’ve never touched a pole in your life, the Pole Exercise DVDs will teach you everything you need to know about this wonderful and addictive way to work out.

Here’s how the three founding instructors of Pole Exercise, Lucy, Alex and Libby, guide you through each of the 66 pole moves on the DVD.
Each exercise on the DVD is presented through a clear, step-by-step process.
In their classes, the instructors found this technique to be the most effective way to help people master new skills in a short time.

The DVD is split into four main sections.

Learn to spin around the pole, arcing gracefully and naturally through each move. Spins – even simple, easy to learn ones – look impressive and feel great when you get them just right. Lucy, Alex and Libby walk you through 16 different spins, from the basic Fireman to the dramatic Flying Showgirl.

Any move performed at the bottom of the pole looks twice as good at the top! Learn how to climb the pole and how to transition from there into many of the other moves on the DVD. (Though some of the climbs – such as the Reverse Climb and Arms Only Climb – are very impressive in themselves.)

Take the pole skills you’ve already developed in other sections of the DVD to a more advanced level. The instructors demonstrate the most dramatic, gravity defying static moves, including the Fang and the Hercules. The exercises build progressively, so you can apply your growing pole skills to ever greater effect.

Learn how to turn your pole skills into effective (and even fun!) stamina training. Alex and Lucy introduce a number of simple and advanced skills, and demonstrate how you can use these moves to tone your body.
This time Lucy is joined by four talented pole artists Jen, Jenny, Sarah and Owain. Pole Exercise 2 teaches you 16 advanced and 11 training spins, climbs, poses and inverts to take your pole dancing to the next level. Each move is taught in the same clear, step-by-step manner as our first DVD, with close up and slow motion shots to help you perfect those graceful pole moves.
Flexibility is key to any truly impressive pole performance, and Pole Exercise 2 also packs in a comprehensive stretching section with 14 positions for you to master.
There are four dazzling routines from our expert instructors, showcasing moves taught on the DVD. Each also has a teaching view to let you learn the routine yourself and help you construct your own mesmerising pole showcase.

The DVD is split into five main sections.

Refresh some favourite tricks before moving on to more advanced and impressive spins. The instructors help you become smoother and more confident on the pole as they introduce you to these graceful moves, including the Backspin to Stag, that add sparkle and fluidity to any performance.
Some of the moves use the spinning pole, showing you how to turn static poses into dramatic spinning tricks as part of a safe and effective workout.

Pole dancing is a great way to get fit. In this section, we work hard to make your pole moves – and you – look even better as we build on the key strength and fitness areas needed for a great pole performance.
We revisit important training concepts from our first DVD and introduce new moves, including the Ab Pull Up and Fang Abs, to help tone your body and increase your core strength.

Starting with a few intermediate poses, the instructors develop your pole skills to an extremely advanced level.
With more than 10 dramatic new moves, such as the Daphne, Mercury and Shoulder Mount Jacknife, the exercises build on skills you have learned on the DVD and elsewhere to create showpiece moves for your routines.

A unique stretching programme to advance and improve your flexibility. As a pole dancer, ex-gymnast and now Olympic coach, guest instructor Sarah understands the demands that Pole Exercise can place on the body, and the key areas of flexibility you need.
With Sarah’s help, stretch your way to more dramatic pole tricks and routines.

Ever dreamt of creating your own pole routine, but haven’t known where to start? Instructors Lucy, Jen, Jenny and Owain showcase four diverse and impressive routines to motivate and inspire you.
And once you’ve enjoyed the performances, use the teaching view to learn the routines and develop them into something that’s uniquely yours. Getting fit has never been so much fun!
