Free stuff!
To celebrate the launch of our new site and to help kick start your workout for the New Year, we’re offering you the chance to win one of 5 Pole Exercise DVDs.
All you have to do is subscribe to our mailing list by 1 February and we’ll put you in the draw to have a DVD delivered to you, absolutely free, anywhere in the world.
If you’ve already signed up (if you received this by email), you’re already in the draw. We wanted to do this to attract new readers of course, but also to say thanks to everyone who has subscribed so far.
We’ll send you an email whenever we post a new article on the site, so you can read all about it from the comfort of your inbox.
We won’t send you spam. We won’t give your details to anyone else so they can send you spam. We just don’t like that sort of thing.
That’s pretty much it. Though as this is a competition, there will inevitably be…
Update: Please don’t subscribe more than once. We’re doing this because we want to get some more exposure for Pole Exercise and pole dancing in general. We’re not asking for much in exchange for the chance to win a DVD. Duplicate entries will be excluded from the draw. Thanks.
Update 2: Winners have been chosen and emailed. I’ll publish more info when we hear back from the lucky 5. You are, of course, still welcome to subscribe. :)

If I received this by email, aren’t I already subscribed?
Kaerren x x
Hi Kaerren,
Yes you are, and you’re in the draw. :) I should probably have made that clearer in the post actually – I’ve just edited the text to include a little more detail. Thanks for that.
Hi
I have just started pole dancing classes and would be interested in your dvd x
Hi Angela,
I’m afraid I’m not quite sure what you’re asking.
If you’d like to try and win a DVD (and hey, why not :), you’ll need to
subscribe to the mailing list if you haven’t already.
If you want to find out more about the DVD or buy one then try those links, or have a look around the site for a bit more info.
If it’s something else, then let me know and I’ll see what I can do to help.
We actually have a couple of articles on pole for beginners coming up over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
Hi!! I’m so excited that I baught my copy I was wondering how long does it take to arrived I order it last week and I like in the USA to be exact Houston TX!! Thank you!!!
Paula – we quote a maximum delivery time of 28 days to the US, though they normally arrive much faster than that, within about 7-14 days. If you have any problems, do let us know and we’ll do our best to sort things out for you. Hope you enjoy it when it arrives!
Hey there, I wanted some general advice really. I went to a few pole dancing classes a few years ago and wasn’t very good at them, particularly spins, but I was thinking of buying a pole in September and was wondering if there were any exercises I could do now that will help to strengthen the right muscles?
Also, is there anyone that you’ve taught that’s just never been able to do it??
Hey Clara,
There are hundreds of exercises you could do to strengthen up your general body core stability and muscles, but I will suggest a few, and that should really help in preparation for your new pole!
Push ups are great for arm muscles, try to do as many as you can, with your knees on the floor (lady style) when you start. If you can do a few every few days that will really help.
Hang under a chin up bar. Either at the gym, or buy a cheap one – place both hands on the bar with your palm facing away from you, and slowly lift your feet off the ground. Try to hang here as long as possible. Now do the same with the reverse grip. Even at first if you can only hang for a few seconds, try to regularly have a go, and you will notice a good development of muscles begin to occur in your arms.
If you do go to the gym, ask the Personal Trainers about some weights, particularly free weights, as these are great for women to use to ‘wake up’ those muscles and start to get you in great pre-pole shape!
Remember, if at any time you feel pain, stop immediately. You should also consult your doctor before starting any new exercises if you are at all unsure about your fitness level.
As for teaching many students over the years, some have improved fast, some have improved slowly…but EVERYONE could do it! It’s just about patience, dedication and lots and lots of fun!!
